SAT
While Bloomington High School North is not a test site for the SAT, students may pick up SAT registration materials in the Counseling Office. The SAT is administered at several area schools. The SAT I: Reasoning Test is a three-hour test, primarily multiple choice that measures verbal and mathematical reasoning abilities. The SAT II: Subject Tests are one-hour primarily multiple choice tests in specific subjects.
Starting times for the SAT (8 a.m.) and testing location will be printed on your admission ticket, which you will receive in the mail. The $24.00 fee for SAT I is mailed with the registration. SAT II fees vary depending on the test. Students may register online.

ACT

The ACT is a three-hour test, primarily multiple choice that measures English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning abilities. Starting times for the ACT (8 a.m.) and testing location will be printed on your admission information which you will receive in the mail. The fee is mailed with the registration. Students may register online.

PSAT
The PSAT/NMSQT is given each October to college bound sophomores and juniors at Bloomington High School North. For juniors, the PSAT is the first step in the National Merit Scholarship competition. It is highly recommended for students who rank in the top quarter of the class.
The PSAT will be offered on October 13 and October 16, 2004.
