During the 2005-2006 school year, North was awarded a grant from the Indiana Department of Education's Indiana ACCESS initiative to fund the outfitting of four English classrooms with Linux workstations so that every student has access to their own computer the entire time they're in class.
At the end of the 2005-2006 school year, the English department got together and applied for a second grant, so that now we have a total of nine English classrooms outfitted with Linux workstations.
