• What’s this? Student e-mail accounts?
  MCCSC provides all BHSN and BHSS students with e-mail accounts via a third-party vendor, GaggleNet.
  
  
• What is the URL (Web address) for this service?
  The URL for students to log onto GaggleNet is (http://www.gaggle.net).
  
  
• What is the student username for GaggleNet?
  The student username is the same as the student’s username for logging onto the MCCSC computer network.
  
  
• What is the student password for GaggleNet?
  The student password is the same as the student’s password for logging onto the MCCSC computer network.
  
  
• How does a student log onto GaggleNet?
  A.  The student opens a Web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari.
  
  B.  The student enters their_username@mccsc.gaggle.net in the “User Name” field and their password in the “Password” field. Replace “their_username” with their actual MCCSC username and append “@mccsc.gaggle.net”.
  
  C.  At their first logon, students will be asked to read an acceptable use policy and click on “ACCEPT” or “DECLINE.” If they decline, their account will not be activated.
  
  
• Where can students use this?
  This service is available at school, home, or any place where the student has Internet access.
  
  
• What can students do with this?
  Students can send and receive e-mail, and they can attach files to send to teachers or other students.
  
  
• Is this difficult to use?
  No. The e-mail interface is very intuitive and easy to use.
  
  
• What are student responsibilities for using GaggleNet e-mail?
  Most services of this sort allow for monitoring and some filtering of content to prevent, to some extent, abusive or inappropriate language. The system is not perfect, and some inappropriate things may happen, but the building GaggleNet administrator will generally be notified when this occurs. These e-mail accounts are not totally private. An e-mail account can be accessed by the BHSN GaggleNet administrator, building administrators, or teachers if abuse of the privilege is evident or suggested. The MCCSC Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), the BHSN Student Planner (Part 6: Library and Computers), and the GaggleNet Terms of Service Policy apply to the usage of this service. Violations of the terms, conditions, and rules mentioned in the documents listed above may result in student disciplinary actions. Please use this resource wisely.
  
  
• Who is the BHSN GaggleNet administrator?
  The BHSN Technology Coordinator is the GaggleNet administrator at BHSN.
  
  
• Is there a link to the service from the BHSN Webpage?
  Yes. Click on the “Links” link in the menu on the left side of the BHSN Web page. About midway through the list of links, there is a link to GaggleNet information. At the top of this page is a link to the GaggleNet logon page, and there is also a link from the MCCSC homepage in the buttons located on the left side of the screen.
