The Science Department offers fifteen different, one-year laboratory courses. It is necessary to complete two full years of science to fulfill the State of Indiana requirements for graduation. CORE 40, an alliance of Indiana colleges and universities, requires three years of high school science for college admission; two credits are to come from Biology; two from Chemistry or Physics; with the final two coming from Chemistry, Physics, Earth/Space Science, Environmental Science or a second year of Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. I and II, are used to designate the first and second years of the course, respectively. AHD denotes courses acceptable for the Academic Honors Diploma.
