The theme is Masquerade:  Unmask the Night.
Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at the bookstore beginning the week of April 28th and will continue daily through Friday, May 16th.
We know this is the end of the school year and everyone is busy but please consider helping with the set-up and breaking-down of prom this year.  It is very helpful to the students who have worked hard all year preparing for prom and it gives parents an opportunity to be involved.  We want to make prom 2008 a memorable event and parental support is necessary.
Volunteers for set-up on Saturday morning will be needed for the following:
•       We will meet in the back parking lot at 7:30 am (near baseball & soccer fields)
•       transporting decorations & favors to the Convention Center (trucks & vans needed)
•       putting up decorations at the Convention Center
•       Running Errands & other misc. jobs
•       Set-Up should be done by 12:30 pm (any time you can give is appreciated)
Volunteers for breaking-down on Saturday night will be needed for the following:
•       Parents arrive at 11:45 pm at the Convention Center
•       Taking down decorations
•       Cleaning off tables
•       transporting materials out of Convention Center
•       other misc. jobs
•       Break-down goes fast and should be over by 1:30 am
Please let us know if you would like to help by responding to Angie Cannon (812) 339-5842 or acannon@mccsc.edu.

  • Students may arrive at Assembly Hall beginning at 1:00 p.m. Final attendance will be taken at 1:30 p.m.  Any student not in line and dressed appropriately for final attendance will not be permitted to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
  • Commencement is a serious and formal ceremony designed to honor our graduates. Out of respect for all the graduates, we ask that parents and guests help us by holding their applause and celebration until all the names are read.
  • Students’ appearance must be appropriate for a formal ceremony in which they will be honored.  Students will not be permitted to participate if dress is inappropriate or if there are changes made to the cap and gown.  Cell phones must be turned off.
  • Immediately following the ceremony, students will pick up their diplomas. This will give the students a final opportunity to gather as the Class of 2008 and celebrate their accomplishments. For students that do not attend commencement, diplomas can be picked up at school the following week.
  • Students must notify their guidance counselor or Mrs. Polk in the guidance office if they DO NOT plan to participate in the commencement ceremony.

Indiana University officials have requested that we ask friends and family attending the commencement ceremony to park on the west side (the Dunn St. side) of Memorial Stadium.  Major construction in the area of Assembly Hall has eliminated 600 parking spaces.  In addition to this, the IHSAA Boys State Track & Field State Finals at Billy Hayes Track (across Fee Lane from Assembly Hall) are also scheduled for Saturday, May 31st.

Please note that handicap parking is still available on the west side of Assembly Hall.  Wheelchair accessibility to view the ceremony is available at both the North & South entrances to Assembly Hall.  All other seating for the graduation ceremony will be on the west side of Assembly Hall only.
